Future of Communications

I see no cell phone towers in the far future. We make use of other tech to transmit information. Just like do not use pigeons to send letters anymore. People use new tech to send a message.

However, what is the future of communication? Well, as we move to new methods of information transfer, we abandon old obsolete methods that are no longer effective.

In the future other types of signals can be used to keep information flowing. We can transmit data without wires and send knowledge without pipes.

So you will no longer see the giant spider web of wires that crisscross the nation with their metal posts to anchor them. The world looks different in the future. It has no highways due to teleporters and no electric poles due to new forms of power that replace the old.

What exists in the future?

Satellite dish on every rooftop with sat radio more max pop than ever. Each house looks like it has a radio telescope on it for communication. Gone is that old metal TV antenna. People now communicate using telephone and television over satellite. Gone is cable TV with its wires. Now orbital satellites in deep space are the wireless network.

It used to be 56K modems using phone lines. Now in modern times we use broadband and the signal is sent high in the sky to massive platforms of orbital satellites. These "birds" relay the signals all over the entire globe. Our Planet Earth has become small - a world without wires.

Years ago, many of my predictions appeared foolish, like the wireless internet, but now it seems that there is anuncanny accuracy in seeing future events. All laptops have WiFi now, but in 2000 they did not.

One thing that I did observe is that in the future there are no wall outlets. This is because objects have an internal power source much like batteries are used now. Few "futurists" talk about how different houses look in the days to come.

Typically we cannot imagine the road ahead very well. Imagine the city of the year 2010 as perceived in 1950's. It was full fun flying cars and metal robots clanking about, but nowhere the mention of sat radio or sat TV, but then came Sputnik and everything changed.

Likewise the future of communications looks very different than how citizens of planet earth could imagine it. If we could see the future and we can using remote viewing. It appears quite different than now.

In fact, we will see a world that looks unusual and odd. A place quite different than now as new technology is adapted to daily use.

Expect the unexpected, it's a wild ride the future.
