Old windmills are a sign of nostalgia, but they are making a come back. We will see more windmills in the future as energy prices go up. The people use wind because it is a free non-polluting source of energy that does not produce CO2 or other greenhouse gases. Wind power is the future as it is one of the most economical green energy projects. Look to the wind to power boats in the future as it did in the past. We sail into the new technology of tomorrow. |
This future is what we make it. Wind power gives us energy without the greenhouses gases of coal or the radiation of uranium. However, the wind is not always reliable so we cannot depend 100% on windmills.

What do we do when the wind fails us? Well, we can use a combination of factors, such as water power, solar, biomass, and tidal to supplement the wind. Most farmers in rural america before the 1930's relied on windmills for electricity. It was a great was to generate electricity then and will be again in the future. |

We must preserve as much of the environment as we can. Using solar and wind for power will allow us to do that.
It is important that we start moving away from fossil fuels now. The conversion process will take time and effort as we retool our industry to operate in a post carbon future.

New modern generators are one way that we will be able to harness the power of the wind. New propellers are designed to be more efficient and quieter. The wind farm will help farmers and local communities operate without use of fossil fuels. Slowly we are adapting to a less destructive form of technology where we coexist with our environment. The wind farm allow us a new way forward. |
