About 100 years ago there were women in the workforce. They worked in assembly lines peeling peas or knitting mittens. There were women in college, many studied to become teachers and nurses.
However, in the future women take on a much more traditional role. They are not seen as machines for production, but as people. The emphasis is on community not profit. Children are seen as much more important in the days ahead.
In fact, in the roaring 20's it was quite common for women with short hair to work outside the home. These "flappers" drove cars and smoked to advertise their liberation from being mere housewives.
Later when the dark days of the 1930's depression hit, the flapper became a long lost memory as women struggled to survive in an unfriendly new world. A harsh new reality emerged; one were having a flashy new car and the latest dress were not that important. Finally, we saw that the most important thing was family, not profit and pleasure. |
During the 40's when WWII hit many women went back to the factory and refused to leave in the 50's. The modern era was here.
I can tell you that in the future, it will be a return to a more traditional role as the family becomes more important and profit becomes less. People will value children more. No longer will the pursuit of profit dominate people...
We look forward to a new world in which we can live without fear of war and hardship.
